The village of Vík is the southernmost village in Iceland, it is famous for its remarkable black sand beaches. It is also home to an impressive collection of other features including the dramatic Reynisfjall mountain, the mystical Reynisdrangar rock features and an enormous basalt column cave called Halsanefnshellir.  It is an area so impressive that it has featured in many films and TV shows including Star Trek: Into Darkness, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Game of Thrones. Vík is also home to puffins at certain times of the year and Víkurprjón Wool Factory where you can visit one of the oldest wool production companies in the world and purchase famous Icelandic woollen products.
